As the author and creator of Negotiation Intelligence (NQ®), Katia developed a proven and innovative methodology that uses negotiation as a powerful lever for personal, economic, and societal transformation, delivering sustainable and groundbreaking results.
A native of Belgium, Katia has lived, studied, and worked across Europe, the United States, and South America. She speaks six languages.
Recognized as a leading international authority on negotiation, Katia is Professor of Negotiation and Conflict Management at Vlerick Business School and is affiliated with the Harvard Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
With over 20 years of experience as a top-level negotiator and consultant, Katia has worked with multinational companies (including AB InBev, Bekaert, ING, BNP Paribas Fortis, Novartis, P&G, BASF), entrepreneurs and social enterprises (such as Too Good To Go), as well as government agencies and international organizations (including the UN, OECD, EU, and World Bank).
Her publications include the acclaimed book ‘Negotiation Essentials’, and most recently, ‘Negotiation Intelligence – Onderhandelen omdenken’.
